I'm looking for a single Drivers seat, good condition w/ mounting hardware and sliders.

Make/model of car not important.

Prefer racing style w/some bolster.

Thanks in advance.

lol, thats what I figured.. Some advice though.. I was considering building one too, but declined after buying the $100 xbox wheel and not liking it. If you havent purchased the wheel yet, Id go ahead and do that and hold onto your receipt so you can return if you are not satisfied. Also, Their is a new wheel out that looks similar to PS3's G25, it has the scondary 6 speed shifter too.. Its pricey, but it looked awesome.. Their are several ideas online for cockpits as well.. PVC, Wood, Etc.. You should make a progress thread.. Id love to see pics. (Excuse my spelling mistakes..):ugh:

I've already got the wheel and I like it.

It's touchy but realistic imo.

It doesn't have a clutch or shifter, but I've already seen how-to's to remedy that so I'm not worried.

I'm looking to do this cheap, as it's just something fun, not a serious dumping $$ project.

I am building something similar to this:

Anyway, stopped in Lowes/Home Depot tonight and their prices on metal is absolutely crazy.

I figure I'll need to buy something online, any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

i was about to buy a wheel, but after using the MS wheel at a friend's house, i don't really like it that much. i HAVE to have one with a realistic 6 speed, the paddles aren't enough for me.

like this:
Amazon.com: Logitech G25 Racing Wheel: Video Games
but $200 cheaper

Does that only work for pc and ps3? I didnt think it would for xbox360.

It doesn't.

Only two I'm aware of are the MS wheel priced @ $99, and the Fanantec wheel priced @ $350 bucks, and is backordered.

People placed orders in July/August STILL have not received one, no thanks.

Besides this isn't an opinion thread on what wheel you like or don't like.

Looking for a drivers seat.
